It's Wedding Season!...

It's been awhile since I did my last wedding cake!  But it's the season for love, so I may be blogging a little more frequently now.  This cake that I did was for Chloe Thomas... my cousin's cousin.  This was one of the few cakes I've done where I had to travel and then assemble the cake.  Her wedding reception was at the courthouse in Provo, Utah, and it was so beautiful!  Plus, it was a good excuse for me to spend the weekend shopping!  The buttercream cakes have been really popular lately because of the elegant yet simple style.  Not to mention, they taste incredible!  I hope you like how our cake turned out Chloe!

Bundt Cakes

This little project was just the refreshment for a Young Women's program, but they turned out so cute that I had to show them off!

TMTH

(for those of you that didn't watch American Idol this last year, TMTH is something that is a frequent in our home now, meaning "too much to handle".  and now back to my post)

I took on the insane task of doing 2 cakes last Saturday.  I have done 2 in one weekend, but never 2 in the same day.  To say the least... it was crazy.  I literally was freaking out!  But they both turned out so beautiful!

The first one I delivered was for Ashley Gonter.  It was actually a replica of the cake that I had for my wedding, only in different colors.  I thought it was pretty cool to see my cake again, and to have actually made it myself!

The second one I delivered was for Michelle Sullivan.  I loved this one because it was so unique and elegant.  I loved the idea of doing half cake and half cupcakes.  The colors on this one were so simple and pretty.  I love the monogram and just the simpleness of it all.

Chocolatey Goodness

The thing I loved most about this cake is that is smelt so good!  As I was taking it to the reception site I could smell the chocolate in the frosting and just wanted to smash my face into it.  Lucky for them and me, I contained myself.  I love how the whole cake is brown and the orange flowers look so gorgeous.  Congrats Brandalee!
