Wonder Warriors

I meant to post this to my cake blog awhile ago, but accidentally posted it on my other blog instead. I was too lazy to fix it, so I just left it like that. But since this IS a cake, I figured I might as well put it on this blog too... finally!:

This cake was for Paige Fielding, a Snow Canyon High School cheerleader. It's her birthday today and the cheerleaders were also having a party today, so it ended up being a cheer/birthday cake. Their theme this year is "Wonder Warriors", hence the cape and big W on the cake. They let me be creative with this one and pretty much do whatever I wanted with the Wonder Warrior theme in mind and I thought it turned out super cute! Happy Birthday Paige!

Lacey + Derek

Another beautiful couple!  Lacey looked so amazing!  They actually got married in San Diego the week before and then had their reception here in St. George the week after.  I thought the cake turned out really cute with the turquoise pearls.

Kaeli + Doug

How I love Kaeli!  Friends since kindergarten and now I got to do her cake!  She was so beautiful and the day was so spectacular!  Congrats you two!

Bethany + Taylor

What cute little love birds!  :)  This cake was another fluffy buttercream cake, but what I loved the most about it was the AMAZING flowers!  I loved the colors and the cool flowers that they had.  I got to do the flowers on this cake, which I love doing!  Bethany also gave me some cute pink beads to decorate with, so I added them into the flowers and I love them!  I thought when it was all put together it turned out super cute.  Bethany looked so gorgeous... Taylor is a lucky man!

Alex + Matt

It's the first cake of the summer!  Alex and Matt were married on May 9th, and I got to do their cake.  I love doing cakes that I've never done before.  It's kind of exciting and challenging, which makes it fun!  I love the simplicity of it, and the different heights.  They ended up putting flowers on it too, which I will definitely want pictures of.  Either way, I think it's beautiful!

It's Wedding Season!...

It's been awhile since I did my last wedding cake!  But it's the season for love, so I may be blogging a little more frequently now.  This cake that I did was for Chloe Thomas... my cousin's cousin.  This was one of the few cakes I've done where I had to travel and then assemble the cake.  Her wedding reception was at the courthouse in Provo, Utah, and it was so beautiful!  Plus, it was a good excuse for me to spend the weekend shopping!  The buttercream cakes have been really popular lately because of the elegant yet simple style.  Not to mention, they taste incredible!  I hope you like how our cake turned out Chloe!
